Winter Walk on the Beach with Nonnie (December 27, 2014)

Christmas is over, but the holiday break continues. The day after our last festivities, we bundled up the family (I think it was about 40 degrees outside) and headed out for a nice winter walk along the waterfront with Nonnie there too. The girls had a blast just digging through their winter hats and mittens - too much fun.

Then Lily always requests her hairstyle for the day, a pony, piggies or braids

Then it was off to the beach. The girls had a blast. We all hunted for seaglass together.

Then it was time to throw rocks in the ocean, which is a ton of fun (Lily's favorite thing to do over the summer in Croatia)

Then Lily realized how much fun it was to just run up to the ocean without a rock, then run away before the waves got her ... some classic, stock beach fun

Chloe quickly learned how to play the game - though she was not as good at it, she loved it,

After a few tries, Chloe found it more fun to just run in the wet sand then flop forward onto her belly and make sand angels. So while the waves are catching Lily (she wasn't very good at outrunning the waves), Chloe was lying in the wet sand just watching the waves roll toward her. So while I was grabbing Lily and pulling her out of the water with her shoes on, mama was grabbing Chloe off of her stomach before she was covered by ice water =)

Meanwhile, mama was holding down the fort with baby Ella =)

... and also with some real babies too =)

Awww, a nice family photo ... even baby #3 is in there

Then it was time to head home, but on the way back mama had a great idea for some more beach fun, sliding down sandcliffs!
